Florence L. Elsass, 10-19-1885 to 12-16-1972 Florence L. Elsass, age 87, of 161 West Lisbon St., Waynesburg, passed away Saturday at Aultman Hospital after a short illness. A life resident of Waynesburg, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Holshoy Dieringer. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Friendship Class, the Women of the Church and the Waynolia Club. Survivors include her husband John W. Elsass, to whom she had been married 69 years March 5th, 1972. A daughter, Miss Evelyn Elsass of the residence. Five sons; Edward W. of Wadsworth, Frank of Austin, TX, Russell R. of Alliance, Robert C. of Waynesburg, and Paul H. of Sebring; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Martin (Edna) Muckley and Mrs. Noble (Grace) Dager, both of Waynesburg. A son, George A. passed away in 1968. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waynesburg with Pastor Walter B. Fohs officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 7-9 p.m. at the McCreery Finefrock funeral home in Magnolia and at the church 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the organ fund at the church.
