From an unknown newspaper circa 1937:
Mrs. Jane Mottice Bowman, 64, of 912 Cleveland Ave. NW, died Sunday night in Western Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, from a complication of disease following a long illness.
Mrs. Bowman was a life resident of Canton and Stark County and was a member of Martin Luther Church and Daughters of the G.A.R.
She leaves her husband, James G. Bowman; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Otterbein of Canton; two sons, Stanton of North Canton and Edgar Bowman of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren and two brothers, Grant and Garfield Mottice of Waynesburg.
Members of the family were at her bedside when she died. The body has been brought to Canton and taken to the Seesholtz Memorial and will be removed to the home Tuesday.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
