Looking toward the farmhouse from the middle of the foot of the hollow shows there was an addition out the back built at some point. The barn is just out of the photo to the right.
The house probably was built with logs, then sided over at a later date. Although difficult to tell from this distance, the log foundation is visible at the base of the house.
